5 Ways You Can Use Pickles This Summer

We are proud to make our own Farmhouse Pickles here at Lee Farms! They are a delectable addition to any sandwich, charcuterie board, or packed lunch box. Here are some creative ways you can use them this summer:

#1 Pickles in a grilled cheese sandwich

Yes, that’s exactly what it sounds like. Pick your favorite bread, your favorite cheese, grab some butter, and dice up Lee Farm’s Farmhouse Pickles into tiny cubes. Mix the pickle cubes with soft cream cheese as well as spices of your choice. Spread it on both sides of the bread and put the cheese in between. Grill it up like normal and enjoy!

#2 Avocado and pickle salad

Grab a can of corn, avocados, red onion, Lee Farms Farmhouse pickles, basil leaves, and crumbled feta. Slice and dice everything as thick or as thin as you please. Imagine your perfect salad bite… does it have cubed onions or slices onions? You are in control! Have fun with it!

Suggested dressing: Mix together olive oil, rice vinegar, mayo, and a pinch of salt. Drizzle over the top and enjoy!

#3 Potato salad for your first summer cook out

Start by boiling your potatoes in salted water until soft enough to smash. Cook them in the oven (425 for about 20 mins) after smashing and seasoning. Then mix together olive oil, Lee Farms Farmhouse Pickles cut into chunks, a good portion of pickle juice from the jar, a cup of mayo, fresh chopped dill, and salt and pepper to taste.

#4 A pickle-forward charcuterie board

Plop those pickles right onto your next charcuterie board for girls night. Pair the pickles with other items from the Lee Farms Market and you’ll be golden. Check out our Honey Roasted Sunflower Kernels, Rose City Pepperheads Rockin’ Raspberry Chipotle jelly, and add something sweet like chocolate covered hazelnuts.

#5 Creamy pickle dip

Blend Lee Farms Farmhouse Pickles with a whole container of cottage cheese, a splash of milk, and a dry packet of ranch dressing. Sprinkle some dill on top for some flair. Enjoy it with breadsticks, carrots, celery, pretzels, and pretty much anything else you can think of!
